What were the cause of the Boston Tea Party and what were the effect?

It caused boston harbor to shut down until all the tea wasted was payed for. it kept the tea stain in the water for a year until the natural forces of water could remove it. the colonist did it because they felt like britain was putting more restrictions on them. John Hancock made most of his money by smuggling tea and other things into the colonies and when britain removed his profitable job. hes going to make some calls and get something done about that.

the cause of the boston tea party was that the colonists were angry about taxes that the king was charging them. The effect was that England had cut off any ships besides royal ships from entering the harbor. Also the country grew more united because everyone was helping each other, other states were helping massachusetts get food and everything
