No, all of the homeless addicts I know are still that way. It's sad and I help them out when I can. One guy comes and gets something to eat every now and then or collects our empty cans. Congrats on overcoming your addiction.

You should read Living at The Edge of the World. It's my favorite book. It's about this girl who used to live in Grand Central and she was on all kinds of drugs, her best friend that lived there before she met her and lived there with her dies, and part of it's about her recovery. It's a really good book. And maybe you would like to read about somebody else's situation. Good for you, though.
