Mad Scientist, I really look forward to your questions!.......
........and this one is superb.

I would have to believe that Justice is a whole lot more biased and jaded that love; kind of grouchy and over-worked, stretched to thin and weathered.
Whereas, although love can also be these things, it has all those other blissful or bothersome (depends on who you are) side effects: (ie) giddiness...drive 20 miles on a sunny day and and suddenly realize thath your windshield wipers are on, sweet oblivion, walking around on sunshine......dizziness; which lends to making it a
"higher powered"
blindness, as it affects many of the other senses as well. Love would also seem to me, to be more resilient and energetic. Making the "best" of it's disability; think Ray Charles. Yeah, love is more like Ray Charles.

Love is thought blind because we judge easily in eagerness to obtain what we call love , ignoring logic. In justice we may be blind because what is right and just does not always lead to the best of results. Love is blinded by falsehood, and ignorance. Justice is blinded by consequences. To be blinded by Love is something we seek to avoid, while being blinded by justice can thought of as acceptable and desired.

They are opposites.

Love as the Lover is blind to the persona, actions and circumstances of the Beloved. It is a narrow blindness based on individuals.

Justice, as the judge, compares actions to the standard of law. Even though the judge and accused are individuals, going through the actions of a specific court case, they stand for archetypes when seen as "Justice".

It's like being color blind versus being peripheral blind. Love blinds you to the object of your affection's faults and flaws. You see, but not accurately, like color blindness. Justice is not supposed to consider factors like the wealth (or lack thereof), the background, the race, or the history of the defendants or of the accusers. Justice must only consider the evidence placed before her and the appropriately cited laws, legislation and precedents. Justice is only allowed to consider what is in front of her, so like a person whose peripheral vision is occluded, Justice is partially blind.

Kind of blind...interesting... Ok blindness is absence of sight, right? What sight is? Sense by which we judging appearances."Judge not" is famous Biblical statement...exceptions never been offered.... Blindness referred to Love and Justice implies absence of judgment, mental intellectual activity over both mentioned. Love cannot be judged well known statement.Justice using that quote in order to protect itself from itself....Well might be, that Love and Justice essentially the same things for both presumed to be non-judgmental. Oh , by the way, science noticed , that inborn blind people never developing cancer of any kind...Illness , according of religion is God's Justice...may be not? Might it be so, that absence of a sense by which we judge appearances eliminating possibility for cancer to occur? It is also known that our human love and justice is kind of cancerous ...or as minimum not healthy

the blindness in love is the act of passion for love and freedom, but
the blindness in justice is the act of demand for control and order.

Big difference. "Justice is blind" is an ideal to strive for, but seldom found. "Love is blind" is all too common, and often leads to disappointment.

They are very different kinds of blind.

The blindfold on Lady Justice is meant to assert the ideal of IMPARTIALITY - we are all equal in the eyes of the law, nobody is to be treated unfairly.

The blindfold on Cupid is meant to assert the PARTIALITY of love - the loved one is favored in the lover's eyes, no matter what faults others may see.

So you see that they are two opposite kinds of 'blindness'.
