Maybe feeding a neighbor's pet while they go on vacation, snow shoveling, mowing lawns.

Most people would be ok with a hug for Christmas, or a card, or something you make, a photo maybe. Maybe spend $1 or $2 per gift. Most people would want something that you make, a poem, a picture, something like that. Don't sweat it.

Well you may not be able to get a good paying job but maybe have a small garage sale, babysit, mow yards, clean houses, snow shoveling, or raking leaves. Or if you do chores ask your parents for a raise on your allowance.

My son distributed leaflets for local merchants from ages 8 to his early teens. He was paid by the number of leaflets handed out. I suppose a dishonest kid could lie or just dispose of leaflets, but fortunately my son didn't. Anyway, I imagine the employers have a way of checking.

When I was eleven I used to vacuum for a neighbor who was pregnant and wasn't supposed to do heavy lifting. Maybe there are people in your neighborhood who would pay you to do some odd jobs for them, wash their cars, etc.
