I've tried using UnFREEz but the images are only visible when opened in an internet browser. How do I create a GIF anime that can also be viewed on a PC?

What I use it Adobe photoshop. Each layer is treated as a frame. When you're done in photoshop, go to file>jump to>image ready. When Image Ready Opens, go to the animation window and find a little arrow and a menu opens up. Click where it says make frames from layers. When it does that, click at the bottom of each frame at the animation window and set the timing between each frame. Click play and you'll see your animation move. When you're happy, go to file, save as optimized and wham, you have yourself a GIF. Then look for the internet explorer simbol in the palette menu and click on it. It'll let you preview it in a browser window!!!

Aloha from Down Unda!

This is perplexing...'...only visible when opened in an internet browser.'...wonder how your view any of your pictures? I've been enjoying the use of the UnFREEz program for a long time! I use mine with the Irfan. Maybe if you download a view system like IrfanView, your questions will be answered? Worth 2 points, anyway...give us some feedback!

if you can see the animation in your browser, then you succeded in creating the animated gif. what you lack is a program to view the gif offline. pick the photo software you like and open the created file. If it works, then the photo manager supports the function you want.

I'm not sure but I'm assuming that you have already created an animation but your asking why it only works in a brower and not on the built in windows image viewer.

The built in windows image viewer only showes the first layer of the image so no animation appears.

Web browsers can show all the layers so you do see the animation. Graphic programs that can edit animed images can turn the action on and off in the settings.

good luck

I'd like to recommend Honeycam - it's a new program that can record from your screen or import images and has a lot of useful but easy to use features.
