OK - weird question I know. My cat (Deborah - hence my screen name) generally lies between my arms on the desk, and I have to type round her. Occasionally, she leans towards the keyboard and hits something that makes all the text go small. I easily change it through 'view' and 'text size'. But what key on the keyboard is she hitting? I can't work it out.

And yes, Deborah is a white long haired cat. And yes, I am sitting in a quite large leather office chair. No, I am not planning the end of the world. (ref Blofeld for anyone who is wondering what I'm on about!)

My cat's favourite place to sit is my laptop keyboard - with all sorts of disastrous consequences. However, I came across this really good piece of software called PawSense which somehow recognises 'catlike typing' - make a loud screeching noise which frightens the cat off and then locks the keyboard. It really works!

She is probably holding down the 'Ctrl' key while you are scrolling the mouse wheel. Specifically, you are scrolling up (or down) the page and this causes the text size to decrease.

Try to repeat this (without the cat) to see if it gives the same results.

I bet you can just scroll the wheel the other way while holding the 'Ctrl' key, and it will increase the text size.

She is probably hitting 'ctrl' while you are scrolling up with the mouse. Hold 'ctrl' and scroll down to go back to normal quickly.

It's the pause [paws] button she steps on whilst going for your mouse!
