adobe photoshop 7.0 help??

okey all my documents that i open up on adobe shows the slice tool at the corner...like its covering the whole picture and it doesn't come out...i can't do anything on it without taking it out....pleasee help meeee!!!

Go to View menu -> Show -> Slice
or
View menu -> Clear slice

I had this going on for awhile and I'm trying to remember how I got rid of it.

open an image, Go to file--> "save for web" and select the hand tool on the left.

Go to view ---> Clear slices.

Ctrl+K will take you to preferences, use the dropdown.

Lemme know if any of these work.
