Check with the Housing dept of your state. Depending on the circumstances and state regulations your ex-landlord may or may not have a case....plus you should know your rights and protect yourself if you are being harassed.

Its possible but very hard to prove.
If this person has a stack of your old checks dated or any promissory notes you drew up, you may be ordered to pay up if a court case is set and your found liable by a judge to pay.
If you have been paying cash and there is no trail you may not have to pay most people make threats and don't follow through.
Unless you have a good reason not to pay, not paying rent is wrong and a criminal and moral act.
If this person deserves there rent you should cough up the cash or make a personal settlement to be fair.

yes, but if you put a deposit down before you rented and you left the place in good condition he can use your deposit towards any $$ you might owe.

yes he can unless you can prove you did not live there the months in question. it is not uncommen to rent on a month to month basis. sorry and good luck
