my opinion is that no books should be banned, and the books on the that list that i've read are all really good! i know some of them are controversial but it's a freedom of speech. and also, why the heck is goosebumps banned? seriously...

I think the concept of banning books is ridiculous.

Books shouldnt be banned at all. As a parent you can prohibit your sons or daughters from reading books but you shouldnt be able to prohibit or take charge of other children lives or other peoples lives for that matter. My class is studying right now and I think it is wrong for people to ban books. By the way if anybody would be ever so nice and answer my question too that would be great. Thank you.

Establishments ban books because they are radical. They change things, and leaders fear change. Lord of the Flies is a fantastic tale, as is To Kill a Mockingbird, and the Harry Potter series really needs no description. The books on this list point out aspects of society and human nature that some people would like to ignore. Read them; enjoy them; learn from them.

That sucks... I read about 5 of those books and I liked them... I don't think books should be banned. They ought to be restricted. Books are such wonderful things, you know? I've learned more from them than I have in life and the ones that were on the banned book list helped me learn. Especially Carrie.

I looked at your list, but could have made comment even without looking. I believe in Freedom of Artistic expression, I believe in Free Speech. I think NO BOOK SHOULD BE BANNED!

I think it's really silly. These books are tame compared to the info available on the Internet. Banning books is a bad idea. Banning info is a bad idea.

No book should ever be banned. I've read all of those books. Authors write books to show morals, to show what they think needs to be heard. If what they think should be heard is banned, then that is just wrong. Wrong I tell you! Wrong!

I don't think ANY book should be banned...but much like cd's I think by banning them it makes alot of people want to read them even more. I for one have taught my children morals and ethics and I know that they will remember that when reading books. (they also have brains of there own and can decide for themselves what is offensive to them)

It's completely ridiculous. How are you going to teach about how bad censorship is and how the nazis burned books then turn around and "oh but don't read these books." Hell with the Potter books kids will just wait to get their parents to take them to the movies.
