If you haven't had sex then you have nothing to worry about. It isn't unusual for women to have irregular periods and sometime need birth control pills to help regulate their cycles. I would start keeping track of when you get your periods and how long they last, this way you can discuss it with your doctor to see if he needs to put you on birth control or test your hormone levels. Sometimes your period will stop if you suddenly become more active, have drastic changes in you diet (lose too much weight).

It might depend on how long you have been having your period because when I first started which was when I was 10 I was very irregular. I would go months without one. But I do know it is very commen for young girls to be irregular the couple of years especially if you are not sexually active. Than there is the possibility that if you are very athletic sometimes women will actually stop menstrating I can't remember why though but I do know it is true because I went to a doctor for the same thing when I was 12. Now i'm 22. I'm sure everything is fine but to put your mind at ease make an appointment with your doctor.

Well to tell you the truth it is very common for this to happen. Your so young and your body hasn't regulated it self yet. If you are very active it will also skip a month here and there . I wouldn't worry to much about it. If you are then go see the Dr. I had a friend that was a runner and she was lucky if she had a period 4 times a year. It is just the way the body works. Good Luck!

Don't worry, there is nothing wrong and nothing you should be doing. A woman's body can take up to a year before her periods become regular. Just let nature take its course and you'll be on schedule in no time =) It happened to me; I got my period for the first time and didn't get it again until three months later, when I was at the beach on vacation! Go figure!

How old were you when you started your period. If you havn't had your periods for long, they are still pretty irregular and this is not uncommon to skip a period or have one a lot later than usual. Are you stresed at all or have you lost weight rapidly? I would make an appointment with your GP if you are worried or if your period doesn't return next month.

Mine was totally irregular like that -- be thankful. :) Mine was crazy -- 35-50 days. Now that I have had kids it is every 28 days like clockwork. You could call your pediatrician, but I wouldn't worry too much. Also, ask your mom. Your cycle might be a lot like hers was/is.
If you are in athletics, or very thin, that can also play a role in it.

Could be hormone problems. Like many people above have said, go to the doctor. You can't just wait forever for your period to come without knowing why it didn't.

This is not unusual for and active teenager. Are you active in sports? That can play a part in it as well as stress. I would consult a dr. just to be on the safe side.
