Why do religious freaks constantly deny the scientifically proven theory of evolution.

And where the hell do you get the stupid theory that evolution is racist................. name one major black character in that novel that christians follow, I think they call it the bible.

PS: I can see why you're not a scientist .... your command of the English language is appaling.

First of all it is important to remember that evolution is not incompatible with creation. If you think about it, what better way for God to create the Earth and to fill it with his creatures than to do this slowly and allow each creature to develop into its full potential? Doesn't creation through evolution show an even greater designer than someone who just made everything appear as is? Indeed, evolution does not disprove God anymore than the fact that the possibility that a thousand monkeys writing over a thousand years could randomly produce Shakespeare mean that Shakespeare is not the author of his plays.

The Theory of Evolution is a theory, but a scientific theory which is based on pretty solid empirical observations. That is not to say that it is fact, but it is a pretty good theory. In today's debate over evolution and intelligent design, the question is not really about whether evolution actually occured, but what is the role of science in answering metaphysical questions. Science may tell us that evolution occured and how it occured, but it could never tell us why it occured. Both sides of the debate need to realize this.

The Theory of Evolution has never been discredited. It is accepted as fact that is not measurable in a controlled scientific environment.

Please, do your research and use your brain before you fill up yahoo answers with such jet trash.

"racist and ludicris theory" --- WHAT? Are your parents cousins? Do you have an extra chromosome? You certainly seem retarded to me--Maybe you should have that checked out.

(Oh, and take a Biology course while your at it!)

You have no idea what you are talking about. And it's obvious from your incoherent and utterly horrible grammar that you are completely oblivious and uneducated.

I'd appreciate if you did a little research before you go spouting stupidity.

The theory of evolution is just that. A theory. It has yet to be proven or disproven, and is probably wrong in some places. However, it is one of the best and most promising theories we have. Unlike creationism and intelligent design which are founded in stupidity and superstition still left over from the Dark Ages.

First, Evolution has not been discredited by science.
Evolution is an observation, and a pretty simple one.
Populations of species change over time.

There are Theories, or explainations, of evolution.
Darwin's is the main one, but there are others that play a part.

Evolution is not racist.
It is an observation.

Yeah, uh, you can't even spell elementary words. Why don't you go back to grade school before you attempt to take on the opinion of every responsible scientist in the world?

A scientific "theory" is a “model” whose imaginary properties you can test against the real world; insofar as they correspond, you’ve got yourself a good theory. Since scientists make no presumption of omniscience, a theory can never be considered infallible – you can never rule out the possibility of the real world presenting you with data that fails to jibe with your model, regardless of how much corroborating data you’ve already accumulated. This is science’s safeguard against dogmatism – its strength, NOT its weakness!

To paraphrase this astronomer chick on this PBS thing on Galileo I saw: Scientists begin by saying “I don’t know;” whereas religious people begin by saying “I know.” Swish! There you have it. Science is constantly modifying itself, constantly incorporating new discoveries, constantly adapting its theories to these advancements – constantly progressing towards a more perfect understanding of the problems at hand and their potential solutions. The greatest scientific discoveries, in fact, are precisely those which demand an entirely new conception of the universe. Religion, by contrast, is a dead end. You have the “complete picture” handed to you by an external “authority,” with the warning that any deviation from this ready-made truth constitutes grounds for eternal damnation. (Really it's all about mind control, now as in the "Dark Ages," but that's another topic.)

P.S. Speaking of which - to the guy below who says "I ask (scientists) to prove that (evolution theory) is right" - way to go. Now how about applying some of that same healthy scepticism to the "Good Book"? How is it that you scoff at science, yet take page after page of ancient mythology at face value? I'm on the side of St Thomas, who demanded that he be able to examine the wounds of the risen Christ before he believed in the Resurrection. Or, at St Paul himself said, "Prove all things - hold fast that which is good."

have you got proof of it being disproved? I'm not saying it hasn't been, but who has disproved it and how are we sure that person is right?

Oh and what's with the racism thing? What books have you been reading? Really, if you are going to make such large and sweeping statements, you should without doubt have the material to back them up, otherwise you just look like a loon.

I don't know if you can ever come back from your fantasy land, but evolution has NOT been disproved.

And by the way, those words are spelled SCIENTISTS, THOROUGHLY and LUDICROUS. You have a conveniently placed "check spelling" function at your disposal, but I presume you are as unlikely to feel the urge to access it as you are to open a book (a REAL science book) and make something better than an ignoramus of yourself.

"evalutions has been thouraly and repeatedly disproved " You speak in tongues I do not understand.

Good job god. You must be proud with your followers--vomiting forth their praise of you, despite you not giving a damn about them. Ah, you truly do work in mysterious ways. H'm, but I must say I would think you would have created more intelligent sycophants.

"I didnt pay interest in college...that is what i visit allow you to understand i understand....we got here from a monkey..thats suitable! I admit It...I dont understand a few thing about it...." Congratulations for being prepared to study it. Now regrettably you're going to ought to provide up the only conception you've about it - evolution would not say that we got here from a monkey. a huge component to the reason that the well-known international is so disillusioned about the creationists is that the creationists consistently recite really ignorant issues about evolution, starting up with "that's in elementary words a idea" and which consists of "then why are there nevertheless monkeys?", "Micro and macro evolution", "violates the regulation of thermodynamics", "Irreducible complexity", "no-one ever said one species become yet another", "Darwin recanted on his deathbed", "there is not any evidence for evolution", and now this complete neo-Nazi "Evolutionists are responsible for the international's evils" challenge (e.g., "Expelled"). in case you could study adequate about evolution to maintain away from those blunders, you're properly on your way. good luck! Oh, definite, and a well-loved individual for you. properly performed. I recommend that you commence with a e book through Daniel Dennett, titled "Darwin's risky idea".
