I'm 13 weeks pregnant and I've been experiencing headaches almost every other day. While I understand that the hormones cause these headaches, does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can curb them? I've told my doctor about them, she said that I can use Tylenol, but I don't want to over do it. Thanks!

Try pressure points -- there is a spot between your thumb and forefinger (where they make an L) -- pinch firmly -- it will hurt at first if you have hit the nerve correctly, but it will soon stop and so will your headache.

Pregnancies can cause all kinds of symptoms. Another reason you may be having headaches is because you might be dehydrated. Make sure to drink plenty of water of juice. Pop is ok but it's not good to drink all the time while pregnant. You may just have headaches through out your pregnancy. Make sure not to take more than 2 Tylenol a day. And try to only take them when your headache is bad, Good luck.

You have a hormone imbalance...see a naturopath and stop feeding tylenol to your baby-all drugs are toxic to the human body and bad for you i dont care what any of the white coats say.

See someone who specializes in "Bio I dentical Hormone Replacement :" Do not take synthetics they harm the body.

Stuff like glandulars are also good.

ALso see someone who does the Salivary HOrmone Panel not
the Hormone blood test the saliva test tells you SOOOO much
more. My aunt was real sick with a hormone problem that the
blood test didnt show up. THe docs told her there was NOTHING WRONG WITH HER-damn idiots

She saw a endocrinologist that does salivary analysis and low and behold-She had almost NO TESTOSTERONE in her body.

God i hate doctors

There is not much u can do for headaches in pregnancy. Tylenol is one but if u choose u can take a warm shower or bath, lay down and relax and get away from a lot of noise.
Good Luck!

you aren't supopsed to take more than 250mg of tylenol so that was never strong enough for those headaches. heat was another factor. trying keeping your body cool. like soaking your feet in icy water. a cool shower or soaking in a tub will work wonders. a gel eye pad that has been in the freezer works. kiddie icicles also worked. and drink lots of water. dehydration could also be a cause.

If the weather is nice then take a walk. Drink PLENTY of fluids and eat a well balanced meal. I just slept mine off. I know it sucks it should subside shortly. Taking a warm not hot bath....turn the lights out and light a candle. Thats my BEST remedy.

Good Luck

Drink A LOT of water, take a prenatal, and stay active.

So long as your heart rates and BP are fine, you're okay.

A cold compress, wearing correct shoes (put the flats and heels away, put your tennis shoes on) and taking a short mid day nap can all help.

tylenol is fine to take. also, it could be from your new lack of caffeine.....I know I was in a fog for a few weeks while i was getting used to not having any............try a nap in a darkened room with a damp towel on your forehead.
