It is her preference - no it is not gross. I am 32 and if I had the body I would wear one too. It makes us feel good to look sexy when we get older we have to wear certain things to do that.

I'm guessing you're around 17 and I'm wondering how you know and why it matters. This type of undergarment is quite comfortable if the size and style are appropriate for your body type. If they fit properly, no one should be able to tell by looking that you're wearing one. If you know this information by looking at her tushie then she shouldn't be wearing them, they obviously don't fit and shame on you for "checking her out". If you know this by seeing them in the laundry, then kudos to you for helping with the wash and stop worrying about whether or not it's gross. By the time you mature, your mother's choice of underwear will be unimportant to you anyway.

I dont think that it is gross. It shouldnt be so bad if she doesnt show to people who do not want to see. She may just want to wear the latest trends or the thong make's her feel younger and sexier.

would you rather your mom look like a "mom" and have granny panty lines? or would you rather she looked good in her clothes? I cringe whenever my momgoes out with a nice outfit on and have panty lines

To answer your question......They are more comfortable and don't leave panty lines under your clothes.
