Why is it that black women are made to be the only ones in society that don't like to see men of their culture with anyone else. I am married to a hispanic man and I (of the African American Culture) recieve some of the brutalest harrassement i've ever occured. Half of his family won't even met me, whereas my family has openly accepted him. We can't even go get something to eat with someone saying something in Spanish or give me some of the worst looks in life. Even when i was dating a White guy White girls were so mean about it. But why is it no says anything about them, we are made to be the most evil women there are, and i totally have to disagree.

Has any body else expierenced this?

For your comment ruby, Not all black girls are like that. My Father, and both my brothers have married girls outside of our race. My stepmother is White and my Best friend who is now my Sister in law is white and i wouldn't change them for Black woman in the world. And every black girl i know has no problem with black men dating out side our race, cause we do it too. hahaha

That is something that gets to me too. I am married to a Hispanic man. I get looks from the same race. His family likes me. they at frist did not but I put the looks to the side and kept pushing my way thou. Then my family would say he is getting his citzen ship and i would tell them no he is not. Now I know spanish and when the SPANISH ppl say stuff i get where i become a B and speck right back to them. Just dust them off your shoulders. All racist ppl. You are loved for who you are. Dont let any of his family worry you.

Dont let them get to you, I am white and married to a hispanic man, I really dont get the bad attention, but we live in St Louis, when we traveled down to Mexico we experienced some racism along the way. Most of it towards him from white men. I think people want to believe that if you are with a different race that it is because you are not attractive, or nice enough to get one of your own race. That is ridiculous of course. I know it is hard, but you could always tell them off publically or ignore them completely. Dont let them ruin your day!

Oh man, I feel you, I'm a white dude and my ex-girlfriend was black. And for the most part, black folks were hugely racist towards us. Honestly, it was definitely a major factor that drove us apart. Me being young and wanting to fight everyone who stared. I really think it's an American thing. We went to Canada, and experienced none of that crap. But you know it goes all ways I can't place the blame squarely on one particular race. If I did I'd be just as stupid and ignorant as those morons. Stay strong don't let the idiots bring you down. God knows they outnumber us. Peace.

I've seen some negative reactions from black women when they saw a white woman with a black guy, I've also seen the same reactions from white men seeing it. Those are the 2 cases that stand out the most in my memory.
Black women get a bad rap about this because maybe they are more obvious in making their opinions known. (maybe they are more honest about their racism?)
Personally I don't beleive anyone should judge interracial relationships.

I'm a white man and when I have even walked down the street with black women friends we've gotten huge hate stares. Worst come from blacks, then old white men. Just my own experience.

I have experienced this before so I know where you're coming from. It's probably because of most African Americans react in a way they don't. I personally think that they are saying they're too good fro us. I wouldn't care whether there was people saying stuff about me going with someone out my race, it's not their decision, its mine. You shouldn't care either.

Did you know that the state of maine has a case where a white woman was kidnapped by her parents and then brought to an abortion clinic for an abortion? Guess what color the husband is?

So it def isn't just black women.

I am white and have only dated white girls thus far so I can clearly say no. I can say it is rather foolish to get all crazy about interracial relationships, heck this is the 21st century, the middle ages have been over for hundreds of years. Have fun and remember that by definition no one is capable of being sane.

I have no experience with this, But i think its sad that this happens, You cant help who you fall in love with. If it was my child or family, What matters to me is the person that they are with, treats them good and loves them. No matter there heritage. Its to bad we cannot be more accepting of people. I have heard a lot of people say I don't understand what they see in so and so, and my response is what do you see in the person you love? they see the samething

I'm glad you brought this up.

I had no idea that you received or perceived such treatment as a black lady. If what you are saying is true, that is indeed completely uncalled for.
