Well, kids now a-days have access to more information about sex than they used to. With the Internet, magazines, movies, cartoons, music videos and even billboards, sex is all over this country and it's highly influencing teens, and even younger than that unfortunately, to have sex. Parents really have to step up their game and actually talk to their kids. Most parents are too scared to say something but they need to instill those morals into their children's lives while they're young. What you said is true, women 18 years and younger are having kids, and they are passing on their lack of moral standards to the next generation. It's a crying shame.

I think it may be the media partly. Kids are more aware now of sexual behaviour as its more open. And its not a good thing.
Peer pressure maybe, god only knows.
Maybe if the governement didn't gve them all the benefits and a house they wouldn't do it.
Maybe I'll have a baby by some random, the only way I will ever be able to afford my own house!!

teenagers think its cool to have sex nowadays because thats what society has publicsed as the exceptable. SEX sells and teenagers are blitzed by the sexuallity of the media all the time. Even teen mags are full of sexuality.
We as a society have created the cool image of sex and now are wondering why the youth of today are fasinated by it?
the phraze rod for your own back comes to mind.
Its the unknown and slightly forbiden that attacts them.
Say to someone you can't have that........ and they want it even more.

I think it's because some kids don't have much self-esteem and don't feel that their body is worth anything so they give it freely. If they valued themselves they'd know that sex is worth saving for someone that values them too.
And I agree, it can be sad when you see girls whose only ambition is to have a baby. There is a time and a place for having children and, call me old fashioned, but I think that is when you're married and have had a life of your own first.

It was no different 30 years ago, when i was that age, people just didn't like to talk or report about it so much back then. The truth being, we still haven't found a way, that us oldies, can be taken seriously by yunguns, enough to get them to take any notice of any thing we say, unless they want to. I speak as a dad.i know.

Its more to do with peer pressure.
Another problem is the aggressive Media, or open market capitalists. They ram everything down your throat to make money - no matter who suffers - as long as there are profits to be made.
