I am so mad because I read in the daily newspaper that had an official spokesperson from the state prison saying, "their deaths should be as painless as possible." WTF? Somehow two prison workers mixed up the wrong drugs together for the lethal injection(they had no medical background) and the consequence? the inmate "probably went through severe pain". *Rolls her eyes* Who the hell cares? One guy kidnapped, tortured, and killed a girl...don't they DESERVE to feel the same pain they put that poor soul through??? They did what they did, they deserve the same fate of style! The prisoners are qualified to be put on death row...how can they still care about their well being just a few seconds before they die? I think those who "kill" should be "killed" the same way or feel as MUCH PAIN AS POSSIBLE!!! Sorry. :)

It surprises me how many sadistic people are posting on this topic. An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. Furthermore, I noticed a person quoted the bible, in regards to the eye for an eye. If you honestly want to use this quote, I suggest that you read or reread the ENTIRE bible in order to get a better understanding of what this quote means. With that out of the way,

The execution of the death penalty has to be as painless as possible or else it would be considered a violation of the 8th amendment of the Constitution of the US which makes cruel and unusual punishment unlawful.

If they knowingly cause the execution to be painful, the attorney for the inmate can and most likely will take it to court causing a whole new set of problems for the prison industry. In addition, this may possibly cause a ban on capital punishment and release the inmates on death row into the general population in the prisons. In effect, it will be history repeating itself.

If I were a Christian, I would be against the death penalty. Because as long as the person lives there is a chance that the person will obey the Gospel of the Lord Christ and be saved. What a joyous time ! In heaven where the victim and offender greet each other with Christ-like love. Who the heck does a Christian thinks he/she is when the very attitude interferes with the Great Commission? Hypocrites ! Vain Hypocrites ! To interfere with the Great Commission and "God is not willing that any should perish" is to behave unscriptually. You hypocrites.

No, the international courtroom extremely has no say nor could it, very similar to the UN, it extremely is a place for persons to speak yet outdoors of Economics no different usa unquestionably listens to them and lower back, nor could they. human beings could remember some issues- One, till Congress Votes and ok ANY Treaty then as much as any President desires to sign in it is not suitable and it holds no criminal weight. 2, any treaty that is going against something that could provide us much less rights than the U. S. shape could be thrown out besides, an occasion of this may well be signing directly to the ICC the place you have not have been given any good to bear witness, no double jeopardy, etc.. 3, you are able to choose for to be a US Citizen or Citizen of the international yet not the two and in case you do not prefer to be a US Citizen and make this a greater advantageous place then why are you nonetheless here?

You are so RIGHT! The problem is that these people have followers and they will defend them like they were angels. Like the people that defend the rights of the terrorist, we have to go by the law and they could do what ever they want and what they do to us is not so important. The Bible say "an eye for an eye" and I think that that's the way we got to be in these cases.

Perhaps they do deserve it. I myself wouldn't deny it. Unfortunately, our country has what's called the Eighth Amendment, which forbids "cruel and unusual" punishments. This prevents not only this, but also behanding someone who steals incessantly, among other things. I'm with you 100% (give or take), but the government feels the need to let mercy rob justice.

But hey, at least we can console ourselves in the fact that, even if they didn't leave this world like we wanted them to, at least they left it early.

I agree with you. They are on death row for a reason, and 99.9% of the time, that reason is violent. I don't feel that lethal injection is appropriate. Go back to the days of the electric chair and the gas chamber.

I don't think we are killing them to teach them a lesson, but are ridding society of a dangerous person therefore it needs to be done humanely or we are as bad as them.

Also, realisitically speaking, most people who perform executions do not like it and hearing a man scream may cause a lot of these men years of pain.

I sympathize with you. I beleive a person should get saved by Jesus Christ before their executed, they should at least have a chance to go to heaven. If a person has a change of heart and changes while they are in prison and they start following Christ, I think their should be clemency for them to at least stay alive and keep them in prison.

The death penalty has too many opponents already. Making executions painful will only increase the number of its opponents.

Why? Because killing them is barbaric enough.

Also the Constitution (not "some law" as one of the answers says) prohibits cruel punishment.

Some of us WANT to live in a civilized society.
