it has the same denomanator and i got 12/9 how do i do it the correct way and is it right

You already have the same number (9) in the denominator, so you just add them up.

4/9 + 3/9 = 7/9.

7/9 is in simplest form, because 7 and 9 have no common factors. If you had a fraction like 6/9, that would not be in simplest form, because both the numerator and the denominator would be divisible by 3. (The simplest form would then be 2/3).
