How can anyone hate an entire county? It does not make any real sense. You can hate a hotel you stayed in or a meal you ate there or the Mexican immigration policies but the entire county?
The Americans who claim they hate Mexico or behave like they hate Mexico are just very mixed up. They probably hate their mothers, or their jobs or their general lot in life ... so they are just projecting and scapegoating and Mexico is a convenient target. Don't take it personally.

I don't think people hate Mexico, I think some people hate Mexican people. Insecure and stupid people hate or fear what they don't understand. Some people (like some answering your question) are just hard-core racists. They truly believe in their rotten hearts and rotten minds, that they are supreme and should lord it over the rest of us. And I say that as a pun, as often times these hateful people will use religion, i.e. the Bible, to back up their ludicrous and dangerous notions. I also think that some people would actually like to take over the country of Mexico, kick out all the Mexican people who would cause them trouble and keep the country for themselves. They would take all the resources, make the people slaves or indentured servants or illegal immigrants and leave once the country was of no use to them, void of everything useful.
That's what I think...
