Pay attention, use memory tricks, and practice recall afterwards, and then you will remember it well.
Memory, in adults anyway, is largely a function of concentration, of acuteness of awareness. When we are strongly stimulated emotionally, we remember..... whether we like to or not ~ that's why traumatised people suffer from "flashbacks" - revisitng in memory the moment of trauma .... and why we remember our first "date" so well. When an experience is new, our concentration on it is strong... so for example I remember the close of play score on each of the five days of the first Test against Australia in 1961, because that was my first ever experience of following international cricket, but of no other Test since. One can however CHOOSE to focus concentration on any experience single-pointedly, with undistractable attention, as an act of will. Imagine I convinced you that $5000 was waiting for you if you drove out of your house and followed correctly a sequence of fourteen turns. You would be much more sure to remember the sequence of turns than if nothing but fun hung on doing so.
