because there are ants on the wall and on the carpet but i dont have a ant killer...

Boric acid mixed with sugar.
Boric acid with cornmeal.
Lemon juice or peppermint extract/oil.
Cinnamon.
Tumeric powder.
Figure out how they get inside the house and block those holes up with caulk or flour.

You have to carefully watch the ant traffic, to find out where the nest is. Then you can use kerosene or gasoline, both of which not only smell, but are very dangerous for a long time, and pour it on the nest. Instead of these dangerous things, there might be other items, like pine oil, or chlorine bleach you can use. But really, ant poison is best.

One thing that I used to do when I had ant problems is soapy water in a spray bottle. Worked for me and there are no nasty poisons to worry about. Just liquid dish soap. Good luck!!

$3 a gal gasoline.
No need to light it. Make holes in the mound with a stick and pour it in. The vapors kill 'em.
But please, no smoking nearby.

Cornmeal, they'll take it back to their nest and can't digest it. It might take some time but it works.
