The Texas Chainsaw Massacre because it was based off a true story of a serial killer and that was the fact that scared me the most also, it was the most gruesome horror flick I have ever seen.

The Others, and The Sixth Sense would be hard for me to choose between. The two have similar themes, but The Others, if you think about the premise, is, at its heart, completely horrifying. To me, this was Nicole Kidman's best-acted role, ever. The two children also do an excellent job of making me feel scared for them. It's just really creepy and suspenseful, and I even like re-watching it despite knowing what is happening and why.

I will also confess here that I have never been able to watch all of Amityville Horror, probably because I actually believe, from a religious perspective, in demon possession.

The Original Tales of the Crypt movie. For a long time this movie was ignored
until the TV show came out but it is super scary. The Psycho Santa Claus is
fast paced and comes right at you and the Monkey's Paw with the guys hand
crawling up his chest.

when i was a kid i always liked stayin up late to watch the old vincent price or christopher lee flicks. obviously, as special effects got better, i leaned towards hellraiser, friday the 13th, and other like those. they didn't scare me so much as created an atmosphere.

Silence Of The Lambs - there's more terror in the possible than in any actor in a mask weilding a chainsaw or an axe.

Se7en - same reason.
