They say "it will risk lives." What??? That makes no sense to me. Are they trying to hold information back from the American people once again? The way i see it, it's because Bush does not want people to know how badly the wars are going.

There probably is some information in the report that would identify our agents operating in Iraq. Such information should be kept secret.

Unfortunately, this administration has very little credibility when it comes to matters of secrecy and disclosure. It has a long track record of declassifying stuff that it finds politically helpful, while keeping classified anything that might be politically embarrassing, regardless of true national security concerns. I would like to see much more of the report declassified, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.

If the democrats take over congress, we should see some rather interesting investigations in the coming year or two.

would not remember now how we've been given in, what concerns to me now could be how can we get out? whilst Saddam poisoned the Kurds with gasoline from a plane, women human beings ,infants ,men and the animals died in the streets, not a component became achieved then, and that's whilst some thing needed achieved the main. i'm not sorry for Iraq ,i would not waste anymore time with them now. we would desire to consistently %. it up and bypass away.

it won't risk ****, but their Dirt and mishaps. Peopel will be mad at what happened in Iraq and how it was lie to go in in the first place. When the governemnt that tells u that the information is out there and you can get it, and they don't mkae it available to you, Its kind of scary. They also don't want you to see it, because right now they want to win in November, if they show some stuff right now, people will be upset and it'll be fresh intheir minds, so why show it? They will show it whther they win or lose after the election. They are already having low polls so why take the polls down even more?

Well, they did release the key judgements, which are pretty dammning of the Administration's policies. There are two reasons for classifying something - it reveals American planning of ongoing or future operations, or it reveals American intelligence sources or methods. It is possible that some parts of the remaining classified documents would reveal these things that need to be classified.

I agree that you can't trust this administration any further than you can throw them, but there are indeed legitimate reasons for withholding information. We don't want to put the lives of our troops or our informants in danger. If that means withholding information, then that's what it means. Now whether or not that's really why they're withholding the information is another question entirely. They're not exactly known for their honesty.

I think "risk jobs" is probably more like it. Their jobs.

Apparently, what it really has to say is even worse than what we're reading in the media right now. The magnitude and repercussions of this tremendous mess-up by Bush and his cronies will haunt the US for the next century.

We americans have yet to fully understand the consequences of his actions, and how really really bad it's about to get. Yes- there will be terrorist attacks in the US.

Probably a risk to their own life and career. There is a cover up in there, they want to release parts that they want and not expose the parts that will be harmful to them and their careers. I can't help but feel they are trying to cover their butts..... I don't trust this administration at all.

Matt B. said it all. We do not need to put any more people in harm. Would you let your enemy know how and what you have learned about them. Gee then the would know how we know. The Navajo Indians that the gov used in WWII we very helpful, nobody could understand their language. The were called code talkers. You never let the cat out of the bag.

If there is one shred of doubt that releasing classified documents, any classified documents, might put any one of our troops in danger or the security of our country in danger, than it should not be released. The general public should not have access to all state information. I understand the naive thinking that we should be able to access all information all the time but it isn't realistic and can give an advantage to our enemies.

It would more than likely further risk his impeachment for brazenly breaking the law , but there is enough on him already to put him out of office if the new congress will act to do so , after the November elections.
