I hate Kobe Bryant like a sickness, but he is by far the better player( and im a syracuse orange fan). Kobe has the better offensive game( deep shooter, and strong finisher) and he even plays tough D. Carmelo shot is inconsistent an when it doesent fall he forces it. And hes a mediocre defender at best.

Right now, I'll say Kobe by a dozen miles! I truly believe Melo has the potential to be a very great player if he just cuts down on the distractions and focus on making himself better. Until then, you cant even begin to compare him and Kobe.

So far Kobe is still much better. This may change in the next few years, but right now Kobe is a much better player.
