Buffalo Tom Barrasso round 1 pick 5th overall

Toronto Allan Bester round 3 pick 48th overall never really did anything.

Mtl. Canadiens Vladislav Tretiak round 7 pick 138th overall

Chicago Dominik Hasek round 10 199th overall

Tom Barrasso has most wins for an American goalie and has won two Stanley cup's with the penguins.

Tretiak was not allowed to come and play for the NHL but the Habs still drafted him. he was Russia great goalie that stunned the hockey world back in the 72 summit series.

Hasek become won of the best ever he was back up to Belfour with Chicago, then his fame came when he got traded to Buffalo.

this is for the people that think Patrick Roy was drafted that year, well he wasnt: Roy started his NHL career with the Montreal Canadiens, who drafted him 51st overall in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft from the Granby Bisons.

Tom Barrasso was picked 5th overall by Buffalo. He was the first American High School player to be drafted in the first round. In the 10th round with the 199th pick, Chicago drafted Dominik Hasek.

Other notable goalies: Vladislav Tretiak (old CCCP netminder), Bob Essensa, and Chris Terreri.

Good question! I can't wait for hockey season.

Vladislav Tretiak went 16th in the 7th round and Dominic Hasek went 17th in round 10. Barasso went 5th in the 1st round but I think Hasek has been more dominant in his career than Barasso. Even though Barasso won 2 Cups, overall Hasek's record is better.
