I don't agree with the people who say just wait and it will go away; I'm 43 and have done 2 courses of accutane and my acne still comes back. I do agree that you should go to the dermatologist. They can give you oral antibiotics like tetracycline that keep the acne bacteria in check if it's really bad. Accutane is really tough to get and they are trying very hard not to let people take it anymore, at least here in the US.
If you can't make it to the derm, an inexpensive thing you can try is Pantothenic Acid (vitamin B-5). You can get it almost anywhere that sells vitamins, it's less than $10 a bottle usually, and it works pretty well for me to keep my skin clear these days.

At your age, acne is normal as the change of hormones and the enlargement of your pores. Its just that some people are just born lucky and they don't have too much going on but some people really show it.

Don't worry as you get older it will vanish. Try to ask your dermatologist for effective products and wash your face twice a day.

I find I have trouble with acid foods. I have to stay away from orange juice. Also, the nurse practitioner at my work, said when you sleep, keep your hands off your face. Put your hands under your pillow. This has helped. Wash your face with a good cleanser twice daily. Becareful of eating lots of greasy foods, i.e. chips, fried foods. Some of this will help, but not a cure. If it is severe, see a dermatologist. Good luck!

1. drink plenty of water
2. exfoliate your skin with a clean cloth and mild soap
3. splash on a facial toner after cleaning your face
4. think about the foods you eat because they contribute to the look of your skin
5. you can dab the acne with "hand sanitizers" that have a moisturizer in them, like three times a day
6. good luck
