Naughtykitty94- I was over there in '97 having traveled from England. Saw so many Americans there. As far as I know no one was killed and I made it back after a months holiday. It is a great country. Northern Iran around the Caspian Sea very Mediterranean in climate. At the moment bathing is in segregated groups. The major religion is Islam about 95%. The other 5% is mainly Christianity (Armenian) and Judaism. They are allowed to co-exist peacefully. If you are a Moslem you are not allowed alcoholic drinks, but Christians and Jews are allowed to brew and drink provided they do not sell to Moslem's.
Whynotaskdon- As far as I know they do not have warlords like Afghanistan. How are they in the stone age. Just because you don't agree with the way they live. Is it because they do not have your form of democracy.
As far as it states in the Oxford dictionary : "a form of goverment in which the people have a say in who should hold power and how it should be used".

Big mistake taking out the gangster who could control the gangsters!

But we all know IT IS NOT ABOUT OIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whenever the country is finally abandoned it will once again fall in to the hands of the WAR LORDS! Like Afghanistan-- they are in the STONE AGE! (But they have their beloved quora'n!)

I've never been there, but would like to visit someday - preferably when I won't get killed for going (I'm not saying Iranians would kill me, but with the war going on someone is bound to) From what I've seen on TV it looks like a fascinating country with alot of history.

I thought it was a good song, but by far I thought that A Flock Of Seagulls' BEST song was "Space Age Love Song".

I don't have anything against iraq. I mean the president called ours a drunk and that is the truth. He is certainly not a devil.
