My sisters boyfriend is promising her a ranch with horses. He is a tractor trailer driver. Can tractor trailer drivers make enough for that? If so, I want to drive!!!!

Tractor trailor drivers can earn a significant amount of money, especially if they drive long distances. Tractor trailor drivers can also promise ponies and ranches to unsuspecting, gullible women just to get in their pants, then turn around and leave them behind with four bratty kids and an unkept ranch with neglected ponies.

That sounds pretty extravagant, even for a truck driver. Over the road truckers can make near 6 figures if they work for a large firm who keeps them moving. Even still, that isn't "ranch with horses" money, unless the ranch is in Argentina or something. If he's been a good boy and saving his earnings, I suppose it's possible.

Personally, I'd be going for diamonds and exotic vacations if I were your sister! ;)

The pay for tractor trailer drivers, like the pay for most jobs, depends on where you live. The range in the U.S. is about $25,000 to about $60,000 per year.

JB Hunt is offereing 65% profit sharing on gross which works out to about 1.50 a mile when loaded. That's not bad, but you have to make sure your truck is always full.

Most companies offer between $.44 - $.75 cents per mile which is about $50K - $65K a year

My ex-husband made $300.00 a week. In the North East U.S.
We couldn't afford to eat. He switched to driving moving trucks and I got a BMW 530. Which he later totalled, but that's another story.......
