When I was pregnant with my first child, I started leaking colostrum around my 5th month..I leaked it every day. Not a lot, but it was obviously there. So, when people tell you not to express it, it really does not make sense since you will be leaking it anyway. But you should try to just let your body do what it will...Good luck!

Actually, you shouldn't express a few days before pregnancy. The colostrum is very important tot he new baby - and if that's all the breast feeding you do is the first few times, then you've greatly helped their immune system and will have a healthier child.

If you are producing milk already, it's likely your body is getting into the same old patterns it was used to. Your tummy muscles will also relax faster, so you will look pregnant sooner than last time.

You can, with, ummmmm, a great deal of spousal attention, cause your breasts to leak a little bit of milk.

Don't be afraid of it, talk to your doctor about it at your next appointment, and keep those bra pads handy.

Kind of technical, but here it is about producing milk:

No, don't be scared. With my first I was 27 weeks before I got milk, but with my second I was much earlier, around 20 weeks. It all depends on how long you breastfed for, because if your body hasn't been without milk for all that long, it can re-appear much quicker than it would take someone having their first child, who's never produced milk before, for example.

you dont want to express it before the babys birth they need the colostrum it has lote of fat in it for them. it will slowly change from colostrum to milk after 2-3 days at the most. but be prepared for some possible engorgement. it can hurt and discourage you but dont let it if you can make it over that milestone your homefree.

i'm pregnant with my 4th toddler, and function in no way produced milk, or had milk or colostrum leaking, until now their births. quite everyone seems to be distinctive, and not having milk now could be no longer a demonstration of ways plenty milk you have, or your skill to breastfeed. as quickly as toddler is born he/she could have each and every of the colostrum it needs in case you breastfeed. With my first toddler, i did no longer even have any substantial breast differences. no longer something in any respect handed off til the beginning. With the subsequent toddlers, I quite have observed darkened areolas, and my physique seems to be like preparing my nipples for breastfeeding by skill of toughening them slightly, which did no longer ensue w/ my first toddler. yet I nonetheless haven't any milk, and did no longer w/ toddler's 2 and 3. reliable success to you and your babe!

After about six months into pregnancy it is possible to squeeze out a little milk, in fact it is recommended that you do this gently from time to time to keep the ducts clear

colostrum is produced first. It will begin to be produced during pregnancy, and it will be the first thing your baby feeds on for the first few days of his/her life (if you choose to breastfeed) for more info about colostrum, click on link below. http://www.lalecheleague.org/FAQ/colostrum.html
After the first few days, baby has gotten what he/she needs from the colostrum, and your body will start to produce milk instead.

The milk can come if you express/pump it a few days before delivery. If you wait for it to come in usually not in regular amounts until the third day.

you will make colostrum, or pre-milk in the third trimester, and the real milk comes in after birth.

Well, I have been waiting for 50 years to produce milk, but as I am male and not pregnant, I suppose it's fairly unlikely to happen.

Would save a fortune in milk bills though.
