someone once gave a man a box with a button on top and told him that if he pushed the button, he'd get millions of dollars and someone he didn't know would die. Once the man pushed the button, they came back, handed him the money, took the box and turned to leave. He asked where they were going, and one of them replied, "I'm going to give the box to someone you don't know." In summation, my answer is yes.

all life is equally important. I think we are living in a world where we are always looking out for ourselves and not taking into account the people we walk on to "move up the ladder". If we valued a stranger's life as much as we do our own or our families then wouldn't the world be a much brighter place to be. Ok im stepping off the soapbox now

To ask if your life is more important than anothers is a good question. The significance of our own lives as compared to a strangers is really miniscule because all life is a gift, either it be your own or someone elses. I think that what we decide to do with our lives is more or less the definition of free will. For instance is my life more important than yours? No, not really. It is what we do for one another that defines the importance of life. I think if everyone put as much effort in their lives for others as they do in, lets say a persons job or their families then all of mankind will benefit.

I think the simple answer is :Yes. The implications are so manifold that the answers don't bear thinking about.
Whenever you take up a job ANYWHERE, you are automatically responsible for the safety and well-being of yourself and colleagues by way of (in the UK at least) the Health and Safety rules and regulations. This is how we become friends (and enemies) in the workplace. Even away from work, we have a moral responsibility towards each other whether we know the other person(s) or not. I could go on but time is against me at the moment. Live long and prosper!!!

Just imagine that all the strangers neglecting your life in the same way as you neglect their... imagine that life of one stranger neglected or even screwed by you will create set of circumstances which eventually organize someone somewhere whom will successfully neglect and screw your precious life inevitably too, just matter of time..How important it is now?

No because you don't know that person so why would you want to know what is going on in someone else's life? That person could be a sex maniac or a pedophile or an angry person that doesn't have any friends in this world. So many bizarre people.

YES! God makes everyone for a reason... for all u know someone that lives on the other side of the world could affect ur life. EXAMPLE: you asked this question, lots of ppl answered it... you can't tell me that their answers don't affect you in some way.

The stranger's life is as important to him/her as mine is to me. But objectively speaking, my life is much more important.
