No. I don't think so. If it is, it shouldn't be. Good luck!

It is too late, shortly after that a foetus is what they term 'viable' which means they can survive if born, some have actually survived from 23-24 weeks gestation, so it would really be murder in many people eyes, and to leave a pregancy that late is totally irresponsible, the only reason it should be ended at this late stage is if the child is going to be born with gross handicaps or the mothers life is really at risk from continuing the pregnancy. I think you will find, if you are in the Uk, that 24 weeks is the latest possible time, think about how formed that child is. I am not a por-lifer, but a mother who knows

Yes it probably is.I dont think that many states do the procedure this late anymore. If you call any abortion clinic they will tell you the time limit that they use in their facility. They can also refer you to somewhere that may be able to do this procedure. You might want to tell your friend though that at 24 weeks it is possible for the child to live outside the womb. The baby isnt a bunch of cells it is a real active baby that moves and functions already. She would actually be giving birth contractions and all even with the abortion procedure due to the age of 24 weeks gestation.

24 weeks would be too late for an abortion, unless it's just been declared by the doctor that your best friend's life would be in danger should she continue to carry the baby to term, and she would certainly die in childbirth as a result. Only then, would I go for an abortion at the doctor's advice.

Yes. 24wks is about 6 months. Most, if not all, will not perform an abortion past 12 weeks and if they do I would not trust them. If she doesn't want the baby her best bet is to give it up for adoption or become a surrogate for a couple who cannot have children. I suggest she talk to organizations such as Planned Parenthood.

That's a question for her doctor I'd say. I'm not sure what the 'cut-off' time frame is, 24 weeks sounds like it's too far in, but I'm hardly a professional.

yes, way to late.
24 weeks, lets see 6 months pregnant. people have delivered (premature of course) babies at that stage. i'm totally pro choice, but i really think its very late for an abortion.

There should be a clinic you can call and ask at what point the cut-off is. I know you can't have one until AFTER your sixth week. But you should really consult a healthcare professional, as to not get bogus info.

It seems to me that it is much too late, unless there is a strong medical case.
They now manage to save prematures about that old.

I don't know for sure. Call Planned Parenthood immediately.

I won't go into the rest of the issue, because you asked us not to.
