just got one 2 days ago on my lower back and it still hurts alot!!! but i love it! so i say go for it! and it sounds like it will be cute!

Not to discourage you, as I like tat's - on others, and find them sexy when tastefully done and not a billboard sized one
Just be aware that many employers don't want 'visible tattoos' on their workers, they can't say that of course so they can and do find "other reasons" not to hire a person with a visible tat, or find a reason to let them go if they are not a top performer.
I know because recently recommend two friends, both really good shipper/receivers, both have "visible" tat's neither got the job, and we ended up with an idiot attempting to do the job - but Hey!! - no tat's!! (and if this idiot keeps it up and we'll be out of buisness any way)
I don't have any tats - I DON'T do needles - pain wimp and freely admit it.
If you like the design, and feel good about it - and don't mind a few small minded people... I say go for it and enjoy - enjoy needles.. I shutter at the thought - but you know what I mean

I have two tattoos and can tell you,they might hurt depending on the area they were done. For example i have one on the lower back and one in the navel area.The lower back one did not hurt at all.It was more like a tickling,and you know why ? because the lower back area barley has muscles so less contraction less pain.Now the navel area bothered me close to a week.It was as if i have received a punch there,because the muscles and whole organism in general,fight back when they receive a strange body into their system.Probably if you face down while getting your tattoo done won't put so much pressure on the neck and less pain for you.Whatever you choose to do, be 100% sure you really want the tattoo done.It stays for life...

I have a lot of respect for a girl that has never had sex before and/or practicing abstinence. Why? Because it shows that she values herself. It shows that she's her own person and isn't going to do what others are doing. She's a leader and not a follower. There's a lot of pressure in society to lose your virginity and have random sex with people at a very young age and many even look down on you if you're a virgin and/or you're abstaining. I would date a girl if she's practicing abstinence. I don't base a girl on whether she is abstaining from sex. If a guy were to say that he wasn't going to date her because she wouldn't have sex with him, that shows that the guy is only after her for sex in the end. He'll be the type of guy that once he gets what he wants, he'll leave her. You shouldn't date a girl because you want to "score" with her. You should date a girl because you want to be with her. You should judge someone on their personality, their character, how they treats others, and how they treat you. If you're with someone that makes you happy, you won't even notice that they're practicing abstinence and (not trying to sound corny), you'll feel like you scored already.

from a guys point of view, tats on young women are hot, yet as you age then it becomes a turnoff as you're no longer seen as a hot chick but a mom. And yes it hurts on the upper back and shoulders. the closer to the bone the more it will hurt. A bit of advice, have the artiest draw it on you first, keep it a couple of days, show your friends, if you don't like, or like the tat but not the star all you have to do is remove. Remember its there forever.

My opinion is if man or woman wants to get a tattoo anywhere thats fine with me. As to the pain factor no one can answer that for you. Everyone has a different level of pain tolerance so what might not hurt for me could really hurt you or vice versa. If pain is that much of a factor for you maybe you should wait because they all hurt.

The more I thought about it, the back of the neck is OK, if it's not to big and it is a tattoo for girls.......you know the kind I mean? On the back of the neck, that is a tender spot, you're going to feel that young lady. if you get it, be sure to take good care of it, keep it clean, try to keep your hair out of it.....GOOD LUCK.....LATER

it feels like getting a constant scrape. i have 5 tat's i think girls with them on the back of their neck is sexy. the neck is not the most sensitive area to get them. I have 2 tatoo's over my nipples, and that wasn't too bad.

A small tattoo wont hurt much no matter where you get it, but please do not get your first tattoo on your neck. I love tattoos and have many, but start somewhere discreet and make sure it is for you.

the first tat always hurts but after you'll want another one! back of the neck is okay as long as it aint all huge...go for it
