When I click on them all I get is sound and no picture? Any ideas on how I make them work?

If your player will play sound but not show a picture, chances are the AVI file is DivX encoded, and you will need a DivX player to play them.
A simple Google or Yahoo (since I'm on their site!) search for DivX player will point you n the right direction. You might also try Download.com.
