Martin has been put on the PUP list (physically unable to perform list) during training camp, which requires him to miss the first 6 games of the season. After that, the Jets can slowly progress him for the remaining games or just shut him down for the season. I hope to see Martin on the field, but with a plethora of RB that the Jets have (Kevan Barlow, Derrick Blaylock, Cedric Houston), the Jets are going to take it easy with him this season, unless the running game continues to suffer. I don't see Martin making an impact this season, considering that he never taken the field this year and that he never manage to abosrb Eric Mangini's new system (along with his age that kills fantasy RB studs) could be the end of the road for Martin. The Jets are clearly on a rebuilding mode and Martin may not be with the team during the process.
