I need to come up with 2 adjectives that describe him: I put resolute or strong and can you help me come up with another one that would make my teacher go "wow" ?? I have a thesaurus but its not very helpful.....

OK - there is a better way to go about this. Don't take some random word, found over the Internet. Your teacher will see through this. Also 'strong' is too general and doesn't do Hale justice. Instead, discover HOW to read a play text and you will be much better off. It's called text analysis. This is is how we work in theatre over here in the UK.
Try this: Read the play again, but focus on Hale's character. Read only his lines and make a note of what he says about himself in the play. If you can as well, note down what others say about him. From this you can find features/ qualities of Hale and make your own character sketch.
