i have just recently fell pregnant only 6 weeks, i have put on a lot of weight i have never been fat or even slighty bigger so im getting worried cuz i have read that gaining more weight quickly could be twins if any one knows i would be so grateful,

You can't tell by weight gain. I had a set of twins with my first pregnancy and didn't find out that I was pregnant until I was almost three months along. Even at my first doctor appt. they had no clue that it was twins. I only found out because I had a blood test done where they test you for protein in your blood and my level was really high so the scheduled a ultrasound. I wouldn't start worrying yet. Talk to your doctor about your concerns and they will probably schedule a ultrasound. You may just be retaining water.

There is no way to tell, unless you have an ultrasound. At 6 weeks the baby or babies won't be very big and you won't see much. Some people say things like if you gain more weight, or if you have really bad morning sickness, or etc etc etc. You just don't know. . . . I have four kids, inluding a set of twins. I had bad morning sickness with all of them, and gained more weight with my last singleton pregnancy then the others. You are probably eating more then you realize, are retaining water, or are paranoid. All of which are normal.

You will only know if its twins by your first ultrasound scan. Meanwhile eat sensibly, at 6 wks you shouldnt have put on much weight, having twins in the family increases your chances, but wait until you have your first scan Good luck

Oooo, exciting!! I had twins last august and I got massive by only 6 months. i found the weight piled on too.

It could be possible I didn't find out i was havin twins till 18 weeks but we had a feeling that i was having twins because i got too big too soon. good luck

It could be twins. It's really impossible to know without an ultrasound.
With my twins, I was in maternity clothes shortly after 11 weeks...

If this is your first it would be hard to tell....but if you are gaining weight very fast the likelihood of having twins could be correct..........I believe at 8 weeks your doctor can detect two heartbeats.....that would be lovely!

could be.. i,m a twin with a younger brother and sister who are twins and we were the first from either side of the family and its great having a twin..we are so close...good luck with the pregnancy

You wont know till you get a scan,but i had a prominant bump at 6 weeks.It just depends on the person.I only had 1 by the way.

It could be. Ask you're doctor for an ultrasound. Most likely it is just the hormones kicking in.
