The expansion tank to my well vibrates every few hours - probably when the pump goes on. This causes the pipes inside the house to vibrate also. I seem to have good water pressure. Any idea what is causing this?

sounds like you may have air in your system.. is your pump all the way submerged in the well or is there a leak on the pressurized side of the system??

That does happen from time to time. find a way to secure the pipes in and out of your pressure tank will elimate most of the vibration. As for the othe answers...If pump wasnt fully submerged it would burn up. If your tank was water logged it wouldnt vibrate being totally full of water.

ummm you have good pressure BECAUSE the pump is pumping and results in your pipes makingnoise...simply try to see if you can fasten the pipes more securely...they should notbe vibrating to the extent your mentioning here
