Arguably the most popular pro wrestling stable since Degeneration X. The WCW started it with Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash in the mid 1990's. They did bad things and had an attitude problem, which became very popular. But then it got all mucked up when the nWo had like 10 members, and then a Wolfpack was started, and it was some war for a while. After the WCW purchase, Vince McMahon tried to introduce the original nWo as a means to destroy his own company, which Ric Flair was taking from him. The idea didn't do well with fans, and by Wrestlemania 18 was a distant memory when Hogan turned face after an epic vs the rock.

Supposedly they're coming back to fued with DX. Vince will bring them back when he returns to tv to try to end dx.
