My boyfriend is an alcoholic. He goes thru these binges where he will not come home, once not for three days. He was told at that point that I would leave him if it were to happen again. Well, 5 months later it happens again. He was very drunk he went to the bar and then to a friends house and passed out. I have been looking for an apartment for my baby and I. I have to wait 1 month for it to be avail. I will be very sad to leave and I do not want to have to go to that extent. I love him very much. Is there anything else I can do? Is leaving the best thing to do to make my point very clear - I will not put up with his ****.....

You're doing the right thing. It may be hard now but in time things will get easier. Someday you'll look back on this and know you did the right thing.

You shouldn't have to. He's puting you and the baby in an unstable relationship. If he wants to be a father figure and a husband, he has to man the **** up and get over his junior high binging. You are absolutely right, you shouldn't have to be put through that, how do you think he would feel if you did that to him? Leaving is the only way to make your point clear, you have obviously warned him. You can't just keep threatening or he will never take you seriously.

THis is not a healthy relationship. You have a child and should not subject your child to this sort of behavior. He has been warned adn obviously he has not taken you seriously so you need to move out and find yourself someone that is going to respect you and your child
