After our swim practice or swim meets, I always stay at the pool, my gf and a few of her friends swim with me, and they try to hold me underwater for long periods of time. I can stay underwater for on average 3 to 4 minutes. Is this crazy? I just love to swim, and swim with my gf and at times with Maries friends.

The average brain can handle three to five minutes without oxygen before brain damage can occur. Swimming helps increase your lung capacity and oxygen intake though so have at it!!

Fly, truthfully. I actually have a terror of heights yet i assume if i could fly i might recover from that, as long as I knew I wasn't going to fall. I even have this insane worry of being thoroughly under water. i'm able to positioned my face under water in controlled circumstances (shallow pool, a bathtub), yet as quickly as my ears bypass under too, I thoroughly lose it. Oh yeah, and that i won't be in a position to swim. So having the flexibility to bypass thoroughly under water devoid of springing up for air may well be a thoroughly wasted skills for me.

take two or three diving bricks and sink to the bottom of the deep end/diving well, and walk around the bottom, than as you are coming up have three of the biggest ppl possible to hold you down and fight your way up for air while carrying all the bricks up
