Why when on the internet pictures on websites can not be seen? Is there a way to change something so there are not little red X's where the picture is suppose to be?

the little red x means that a plugin is missing probaly flash or shockwave you can get one from adobe.com

There are two reasons this happens - either the site it badly made and they linked to an image that isn't there...

Or you have images turned off in your browser.

Go into either "Edit" then "Options" ...or
"Tools" then "Options" and poke around.

There should be a tab that says something like "Content"

See if you can find something that says something like "Show Images" or "Show Pictures". Make sure there is a check mark next to it.

I have to be vague because there are a lot of browsers out there and each puts it in a different spot.

I, personally, prefer Firefox.

a red x means one of two things.

1) the link to the image is broken in the website you are visiting
2) your browser isn't allowing you to download images (either to improve speed to protect against jpeg exploits)

Which of the two it is will be easy to determine. If you never see pictures then it is the 2nd option.

If you get this rarely across many websites then this a number 1 situation.

if there's a little red X, that means it wont show you. try right clicking it and push copy. then go to microsoft word, right click, and paste it. maybe that will work
