I'm not trying to be wierd but if everyone is into this all natural stuff wouldn't it be smart to eat stuff while you're nursing if it helps out the cows? It would probably help you too. Just a thought. Someone probably already thought of that, I don.t keep up on the goings ons of that kinds of thing.

The reason the cows are feed, is to get them to stand still long enough to milk them.

Feeding the cows during milking is more of a distraction method than anything. Cows can usually only focus on one thing, and if you have some nice hay in front of them, there you go.

My wife is breast feeding now and I don't think I'm going to try the hay trick. haha

A cow's digestive system is totally different from ours. They are vegetarians and have more than one stomach. We cannot live on grass alone, like a cow can. So I don't think you can make a comparison with a cow. It might be better to compare with another lactating animal; like a dog or even a bear.
