Would the world be a better place if Britain still had its Empire.?

For starters we brits would own all the bloody oil and most of the coconuts in the world, we might of even let the Americans become one of our colonies again if they as nicely...

Except every one would have terrible teeth, and the worlds food choices would suck.

You would own more oil, but certainly not all, and the coconut futures market is not that appealing.

On the other hand, some parts of the world actually would be better off, some much better. I don't think the Empire would let the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan get in the mess Sudan is in, nor would Mugabe be able to cause starvation in Rhodesia like he has in Zimbabwe.

The Aussies, Kiwis, and Canucks are getting along just fine without Mother's help. Singapore is doing well, and the Malays seem to have their act together. Most of the Caribbean mini-states are doing OK, and Jamaica looks pretty good. Even the largest jewel in the crown appears to be moving up, but there's huge population pressure there that can't always be appeased by Bollywood movies.

The jury is still out on many other pieces of the old Empire

in this modern age? I believe not.
in this modern world of technology, things are different, pace of life is faster, people think in a different way,, i definitely dont think so.

Imperialism is one of the most detrimental things that has ever happened to this planet.
If we could end all imperialism and all religion then the world would be damn near perfect.
