LCD will definately have better image quality. Prices the same though, you will be able to get a bigger projection TV for the same price. However, you need to be careful with a projection tv. First off, when looked at from an angle you can't see the picture at all which is tough if you are having people over. Also, the screens have been known to be prone to warping. Which leads to severe color problems (it happened to my brother's).

My thoughts, if you can flip the extra cash, it's worth getting a smaller LCD than getting a projection.

LCD has a better picture. So does DLP

LCD GIVES A CLEARER DISPLAY THAN PROJECTION. HOWEVER THEY ARE NOT VERY GOOD AT DISPLAYING MOTION, SO IF YOU WANT ONE THAT IS ANY GOOD PREPARE TO PAY A LOT OF MONEY
