I have never owned one, however, when my youngest son (now 25) was a little boy he had a crazy obsession with all animals. We would go to the pet store quite frequently and observe the animals. He always wanted a chinchilla, they are just amazing and so adorable, they have the softest fur I have ever felt. I love them.

They become an addiction. I had 1 then 3 and now i'm down to 2 a kit and his mother. If i had room I'd set up a chin rescue in my house.

I got one about a month ago, and there is no other pet like her. I adore her, she is pure joy.... of course on her terms, but a fabulouse addition to my family.
