unfortunately, it is, as long as its in a written, form, it counts, BUT!!, sense there wasn't a hard copy, isn't not all that legit, its the same that that jackass does, as long as they put up a blimp that they tell you not to do there stunts, they've covered there ***'s, its the same thing, its disgusting ethics, but they do it on purpose, but what was wrong with your account, that you noticed this, because if your having a problem with your phone, what if you wouldn't have gotten that text message, or what if you were too busy to use your phone, or what if you were to use your phone an emergency phone, and only have it in your car, they can't expect that everyone checks there phones everyday, so all in all your right, they have no right to count that is notifying you, and because its not in hard copy, whats to say it wasn't a generic phone, sending you the message, there was not true evidence that it was them sending the text, it could have been a prank from someone, so frankly no it doesn't count, try calling them and bring up some of the points i just did, because I'm with sprint and i know that once i have a problem, that if i call them, and tell them whats going on it, gets fixed, that's not legal, there no way to know that its truly authentic, from the company, so how can they hold you liable

Orange are probably the worst mobile phone company I have ever dealt with, and I've dealt with nearly all of them.
You need to get these facts checked out lawfully and look at your contract. This is how they screw people over.
Good luck.

I wouldn't have thought so, Orange make up their rules as they go along. Go to the CAB or Oftel.
