Royal families orginated in criminal gangs which used to roam the country stealing and enslaving the population. By the payment of protection money people could but the patronage of a gang of thugs who were addicted to violence. The traditions of a family for thuggery were passed on from father to son creating dynasties of criminals. These families used the law and religion to justify their immoral acts. When you make the law you are above it which is precisely what they decided. By a combination of conquest, enslavement and terror families accumulated wealth which allow them to develop into the 'proud' families that they are today. The Monarchy and Aristocracy developed in a way akin to the Mafia crime families who use violence and extortion to create wealth.

The Swedish royal family (Bernadotte) is a new royal family. The old blood line died in the 1800's so they got a guy from France that started a new royal family.

Like in Monaco. That family invaded that land like 600 years ago and still rule. Its just a larger version of rich dynastic families except they are given political power.
