some years back i had roadside service with my auto insurance company, State Farm. My wife's car stalled one night so she called the number on the card, They told her that she would have to pay the driver and get re-imbursed from State Farm. soon after i cancelled State Farm roadside assistance and got AAA. that was approximately 26 yrs. ago and we still have them...Rates have gone up for sure. and we have brand new cars now, but we keep AAA for discounts on motels, and for trip routing, maps, etc. I have also used the service on behalf of someone who's car i was in when the battery failed. and you never know, i may yet need the "bail" benefit. LOL, hope not though...sorry you are not satisfied with them...hope you find one that does a better job for you...good luck. Do you have any affiliation with any organizations? quite often they will have group rates for different services, like roadside assistance, you may want to look into that..

I don't know what state your in, but here in Texas if you look on the back of your drivers license there is a roadside service number listed on the back and they are great at getting to you fast.

Talk about the 800 number on the back of your drivers license, that is only good between towns and only if the state police is not involved in an accident investigation or other state police activity.

I currently use MCA- Motor Club of America. They are a bit more expensive. To me it is worth if for the benefits they provide. You can check it out for yourself www.socalmcapro.com
