Alright here it goes...

Yesterday I started to notice that I had to pee quite often. And it was only towards the end of me peeing that I would have this wierd feeling "almost like a burning feeling, well kinda hard to describe", besides that I have noticed an odor "the smell is different, but I wouldn't consider it fishy."

So I was wondering if this could possibly be a yeast infection or BV?

My fault if it is a yeast infection because I am guilty of douching "I found out it is bad, so I have stopped" but just wanted to know before I went to get a yeast infection cream if it was something else.

Because if it is BV I know the yeast infection cream will not cure that....

Please assist me with your advice on what this might be....

And I mean no disrespect when I say this but leave the rude comments out please....

Sounds like it could be a Urinary Tract Infection. Maybe Bladder infection, but I lean more towards UTI. Yeast infections don't usually have that pain you described. Severe itching, cottage cheese like discharge, but no bad odors or pain. You should probably see your doctor-you'll need some Antibiotics for any infection other than yeast. No matter what anyone says, Cranberry juice WILL NOT cure a UTI or Bladder infection. It can help prevent them and even ease your symptoms, but for complete relief and cure, you need an Antibiotic. Good luck to you.

It'd be better to check with a doc, its obviously an infection cuz it smells different, but it may also be a bladder issue, the best thing to do is go get checked and then you'll be safer, if the need to pee is unbearable, you may take "bladuril" is a pill used for this cases, this will make you feel better, but won't eliminate the infection, ok? drink a lot of water, and stay calm, nothing bad will happen to you, most people go thru this once in life, and forget about the cream, go with the doc and get checked (I repeat) its better if you do it this way... hope this helps...

and yep, I went thru the "peeing" thing too, I know how it feels...

It could be either BV or a yeast infection (and there are other possibilities, as well, like a urinary tract infection.) You'll need to see a doctor because you're right, over-the-counter yeast infection treatments won't cure BV... in fact they could exacerbate the situation. The sooner you get a professional diagnosis the sooner you can treat the symptoms.

I am heavily into holistic health, (I have been working in the field for 5 years now), meaning no drugs...if you go to your local grocery or pharmacy, you can find cranberry tablets in the vitamin section. Taking 4 to 6 of these in the first two days and following through with 2 a day for a week, and drinking clear decaffeinated fluids should not only clear up your UTI, put ward off any reoccurances or reinfections.
People nowadays run to the doctor for every little thing...the more drugs your doctor gives you, the more immune you will become to them when your body is in deperate need of them. Getting checked out by your doctor is fine, and more than likely he will agree that most UTI's can be treated with natural remedies... don't always assume that special meds are needed to cure everything.
Good luck!

Symptoms for yeast infections usually involve a discharge and itching sensation.

Symtoms with a burning sensation after you pee, usually are related to a baterical infection (could be from douching, or some soaps are not good to use on vagina, they are too strong, and irritate the vaginal region) OR it could be a sign of STD, if it does
not clear up in the next 48 hours, seek medical attention.

DRINK CRANBERRY JUICE, it clears up Bladder infections, and again it does not stop in 48hrs, go to Dr.

Also stay away from perfume soaps, use non allegeric ones, and also use white wash clothes and/or underwear, the dye in these things can irritate the vagina too.

good luck.

If you are concerned about thrush or BV, then go to a sexual health clinic, where you can be tested and told straight away whether it is one of these conditions, you can then treat it appropriately, as the treatment for these 2 conditions is completely different.

They can also test your urine there, to rule out a urinary infection which can cause frequency of peeing and a burning sensation.

Sexual health (GUM) clinics in the UK are free to attend and prescriptions there are free, and the whole procewss is entirely confidential...no one - not even your GP will be told you attended, without your permission. I don't know if it is the same in other countries.

If you feel the need to pee more frequently than usual, and feel a burning sensation you could have a uninary tract infection. See your doctor. They can become quite painful.
