Everytime I eat at an Indian buffet, even if I don't eat a lot, I get totally full .. really fast. Why is that? Is there some special ingredient that causes one to get full faster?

Traditionally, over centuries, the Indian food is designed and prepared for physically hard working folks. Besides taste, other food qualities and to meet also their heavy calorie consumption demands which could last for 5-6 hours, due to heavy physical activities involved in their daily life throughout the day, the food use to be prepared and eaten this way. However, with changing time, where more of while collar job are involved and less of physical hard working occupations, the families have modified preparation and consumption of food suitably at homes. Commercial eat-outs are still somewhere in - between changing the food preparation, ingredients and processes. Certain high end hotels and restaurants have realised their customers' these changed demands and have brought suitable changes in the food.

To meet one's requirements, one should ask for less/least of cooking oil/butter/ghee and spices and take least of fried stuff, and convey this while placing order in a restaurant / hotel. Still, if not use to such food or feel heavy for some reason, try drinking cold plain soda water ( no sweet beverages) about half an hour after taking the food - it helps a lot.

The simple answer is nothing due to the ingredients. Its a study ive conducted on buffets in general for my university science presentation. The human psychology factor is definitely related and gets overwhelmed. Seeing all this food causes your mind to be overwhelmed and not consume as you would be able to if you were having a course meal. It goes either way for any type of food regardless of ethnicity.

Because it's so good that you have to have a little of everything. Plus, they food is filling.... rice, bread, creamy sauces. Everytime my husband and I go out for Indian buffet, we clear the rest of the day because we end up going home and sleeping it off like Thanksgiving dinner. Yummy!!!

Indian food is high calorie one. Replete with fat, carbohydrates. Take care to choose. But the South Indian buffet would not be the same. Try that one and you would feel the difference.

if you're fairly athletic, paintings out on a common foundation, and watch what you devour, you'd be nice. One time would not damage you, particular your weight can decision about 5 lbs, yet you'd be nice. the major element is to shop your weight relief plan reasonably. i'd not flow to the buffet more beneficial than two times a month.

Indian food is my favorite!! Unfortunately it's got loads af ghee (clarified butter) and cream in it, that's what makes it so filling. I go to my local buffet every chance I get, but that's my one meal for the day!

The idea is that although you think you are free to eat 'as much as you like', you will not be able to. I have heard from good sources that they put soda bicarbonate in most of their food. As this produces a lot of gas in the stomach, you feel you have eaten a lot when you have not.
