In college, I had a problem trying to take notes, so I read about a form of short hand where "/" stood for "and" and "\" was short for the, so in that form of short hand w/e would mean Wande.

Ha! That's funny. I'm an accountant, so to me it means "Week Ending." Isn't it interesting, because we're all from different walks of life, how different our thinking can be?

When I use "w/" it means "with". And "w/o" means without. Naturally, I thought "w/e" meant "with everyone".
